Conference/Meeting Planner (Contractual Position)

·          Managed all aspects of conference planning including, committee review, vendor management, logistics and marketing for a bi-annual Signature Conference.

·          Managed a conference budget of $500,000.

·          Provided strategic direction to the Director on conference initiatives.

National Association for the Education of Young Children,

Project Assistant  (Contractual Position)

·          Coordinate the Association’s 11th Annual National Institute for Early Childhood Professional Development conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, including database management, conducting a site visit, program planning, venue management, scheduling, and coordination of AV requests. More than 1,400 individuals attended this event.

·          Coordinate meetings for a project funded by the Rockefeller Foundation including set-up and breakdown and pre and post follow-up. Three meetings were held with approximately 40 attendees.

Washington, DC; Nonprofit Philanthropy Organization        April 1997 to June 2001

 

Program Associate

·          Co-managed the WAVE (We Are Volunteer Employees) Program including convening monthly meetings and administering an $80,000 budget.

·          Worked with sub-committee chairs to promote and organize various employee community service events including logistical planning, document preparation, handling vendors, and supervising set-up and breakdown of each event.

·          Organized and co-managed a corporate breakfast fundraising event on behalf of the Metropolitan Boys and Girls Clubs’ Capital Campaign raising $40,000.

·          Managed event employee registration of the 13th annual Help the Homeless Walkathon, involving servicing 900 employees.

·          Managed the employee fundraising efforts of the 13th annual Help the Homeless walkathon raising over $100,000.
